Billy Donovan holds Matas Bouzelis, Josh Gidney responsible after Chicago’s sixth straight loss

The struggle is real for Chicago Bulls, despite Josh Giddeioptimism. The Bulls lost their sixth straight game on Friday as they fell to the Indiana Pacers 120-105. As a result, Chicago is now 9-13.

Then, the head coach Billy Donovan mentioned and Gidija and Matas Buzelis. Basically, he held each of them accountable, especially when it came to their number of misses.

Bouzelis finished with six turnovers, while Giddy finished with five, accounting for 11 of Chicago’s 18 total turnovers. As clear as he could be, Donovan said that while he saw some good things, “the decision-making has to be better” on their part.

Despite the turnovers, Bouzelis finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Additionally, he was a perfect 9-for-9 at the free throw line. Gidi arrived with 9 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Kobe White led all Bulls scorers with 22 points and six assists.

Off the bench, Jevon Carter finished the game with four 3-pointers and a total of 14 points. Also, Zach Collins finished with 8 points and six rebounds in his season debut after left scaphoid injury.

Bouzelis is averaging 13.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Giddy is averaging 21.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 9.2 assists per game.

The Bulls need to fix the losses and attack the rim.

Among all the issues affecting the Bulls, one that isn’t which is discussed their traffic problems are enough. Too many times, sometimes they play too fast in the half court game, and they don’t read plays well.

Additionally, they sometimes take contested threes instead of going to the rim.

Overall, the Bulls do a pretty good job of making uncontested threes. For example, Zach Collins’ first points of the season came on an uncontested 3-pointer. However, aside from the likes of White and Bouzelis and a healthy rim-attacking Ayo Dosunmu, there is a real dearth in that category.
