Blake Monroe’s NXT-titled Thirst Trap Goes Viral
It seems that the former WWE NXT North American Women’s Champion Blake Monroe, formerly Mariah Mai at AEVis still mulling over the title as she gained attention with her thirst trap posted on Instagram.
May posted a thirst trap on her Instagram on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. She was seen sitting on a swing with the North American Women’s Championship belt next to her while wearing a bikini.
She uploaded a second picture, which was further enlarged, showing a better view of her surroundings. Monroe did not write a lengthy inscription; she just posted a broken heart emoji.
Blake Monroe/Mariah Mai just lost their first WWE Championship
After almost two years at AEV, May moved to VVE, adopting the name Blake Monroe. She made her surprise debut during the June 3, 2025 edition of NKST, opposing Women’s Champion Jaycee Jane.
Her first WWE NXT match will come next month at The Great American Bash. Monroe teamed up with Jordyn Grace to defeat Fatal Influence (Jane and Fallon Henley). The following night, Monroe followed Grace to her match against Jane for the NXT Women’s Championship.
However, Monroe would turn on Grace, end their partnership, and turn. They would end their feud in a steel cage match at NXT No Mercy in September.
Then, on Halloween on October 25, Monroe defeated Zaria to win the NXT North American Championship. However, her reign would come to an abrupt end during the December 16 edition of NKST. Monroe faced Theo Hale in a match and the finish was missed, resulting in Hale winning the title.
Hail attempted a pin on Monroe, which failed. The referee then counted to three and the match was over, and everyone in the ring appeared confused.
It’s unclear if or when Monroe will get another shot at the North American Women’s Championship. Let’s hope he gets a chance to right his wrongs.
