Blazers commit $172 million to Toumanie Kamara and Shaddon Sharpe through 2030
A few hours before the “deadline”, ESPN announces that it is Blazers offered new contracts to two of his youngsters, who are likely to test the market in 2026: Toumani Camara Then Shaedon Sharpe.
Package for the last euro with Belgiumespecially since he had to concentrate on signing this new contract, Toumani Camara ended up inheriting $82 million over four years from Portland. Choosing a safety, though that also leaves some money on the table, as his salary could go as high as $87 million.
The Belgian is one of the great “success stories” of recent years. Arriving in the NBA in 2023, he was selected only at the very end of the second round (52nd pick), but that did not prevent him from establish himself among the best role players and defenders in the league. Including, for example, “All-Defensive Second Team” and Top 10 in voting for the title of defender of the yearIn 2025…
In Portland, a hard core is forming
Now tied to Portland through 2030, while his new contract will begin in 2026, Tumani Kamara is coming off the season averaging 11.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals (and 38% on 3-pointers). The third coming in now has to finish pushing it between Chauncey Billups’ key elements.

Landed a year earlier in Oregon as the seventh pick in the 2022 draft, Shaddon Sharpe, for his part, accepted $90 million over four years from the Blazers. these are not 100 million that he asked forbut it is an interesting compromise for both camps.
Improved since his freshman year, the Canadian had the most productive season of his career in 2024/25: averaging 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists. Having become a full-time starter with Portland, he has a good chance to stick around with Damian Lillard out.
Between Toumani Kamara and Sheddon Sharp, but also Danny Avdia, Donovan Klingon and Young Hansen (until Scoot Henderson is re-signed in 2026?), these are the Blazers’ main young players now under contract for at least three years. Enough to allow this group to quietly thrive…
