Brandon Ingram cold-bloodedly attacked Pascal Siakam

Brandon Ingram it is not just hit the game winner. He explained exactly why he was there and why Pascal Sakak he never had the chance.

Ingram’s cold-blooded jumper with 1.9 seconds left lifted it Toronto Raptors to a A 97-95 victory for the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, pushing their winning streak to nine games and keeping Scotiabank Arena buzzing like it’s 2019 all over again.

A match that everyone circled before the game was ultimately decided. Brandon Ingram vs. Pascal Siakam, one-on-one elbow as the clock winds down. Siakam sat on five fouls. Ingram knew that.

“I knew he was in trouble and I knew he didn’t want to be overly aggressive, so he was at my mercy at that point,” Ingram he told reporters after the victory.

The numbers confirm how relentless that reading was. According to ESPN, Brandon Ingram finished with 26 points, eight rebounds and two steals on 11-of-23 shooting, including 3-of-5 from deep, as the Raptors carried the offense late. Pascal Siakam responded with 11 points, four rebounds and two assists, but picked up his fifth foul midway through the fourth and clearly had to regain his physicality on that final possession.

The Toronto Raptors needed all of it. They trailed by as many as 12 in the third quarter before coming back to keep it a one-possession game for most of the fourth. But the Indiana Pacers actually held the lead late, outscoring Toronto 25-21 in the final frame, according to ESPN.

Scotty Barnes added 24 points and 10 reboundswhile Immanuel Quickley had 15 points and six assists as Toronto shot 49 percent from the field.

On the other end, the Indiana Pacers put forth a solid all-around effort, but their late-game performance faltered in the final minute, opening the door for Brandon Ingram’s game-winner.
