Brandon Ingram sends a clear message to Scotty Barnes after his historic 25-rebound triple-double

On Sunday afternoon, Toronto Raptors beat the Golden State Warriors in overtime, outscoring Golden State by 14 points in overtime to secure the win. This was a monster game by Scotty Barneswho scored 23 points, dished out 10 assists and grabbed a whopping 25 rebounds to compile a triple-double and help his team earn its 19th win of the season.

After the game Barnes’ teammate Brandon Ingramwho scored 26 points in the win, had high praise for the former NBA Rookie of the Year.

“All-Star, All-Star, All-Star, All-Star!” Ingram exclaimed during Barnes’ postgame interview.

Barnes’ 25 rebounds matches the Raptors franchise record and puts him on an exclusive list with only Nikola Jokic as the only player to have at least 20 points, 25 rebounds and ten assists in the same game.

Meanwhile, the win was big for a Raptors team that has struggled recently, losing back-to-back games to the Brooklyn Nets and Washington Wizards over the past week. Toronto is currently 19-14 on the season, and it’s certainly possible that Ingram’s All-Star prediction for Barnes could come true, with the former lottery pick routinely putting up strong stat lines while turning into one of the best defenders in the NBA this year.

While the Raptors have fallen off a bit from their hot start to the season, they are still a team that could make some noise in a weak Eastern Conference, and are also being rounded up as potential suitors for several big names that could become available on the market in the coming weeks.

Either way, the Raptors will next take the floor on Monday night at the other end, once again at home, this time against the Orlando Magic. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM ET.
