Brandon Miller was ejected after 2 technicals against the Pacers
The Charlotte Hornets entered their game against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday looking to add to their current winning streak. However, in order to get the win, the Hornets had to do it without Brandon Miller since he was kicked out after picking up two technical errors.
Brandon Miller was ejected early in the third quarter of the Hornets’ game against the Pacers after his two technical fouls resulted from an altercation with officials. At the time of his ejection, he played 19 minutes and finished with six points, four rebounds, three assists and two blocks. As of publication, the Hornets had a slim lead late in the fourth quarter.
The The Hornets played much better lately, going 4-4 in their last eight games. Part of the reason for the more consistent play was because the team had full health. Sam Miller missed 13 straight games earlier this season with a shoulder injury.
Miller appeared in a total of 20 games with just over 30 minutes per game. He averaged 20.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.1 blocks on 40.5 percent shooting from the field, 36 percent from the 3-point line and 84.4 percent from the free throw line.
The No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft, Miller is part of a solid young Hornets core that includes LaMelo Ball, Kon Knuepel and Miles Bridges. However, against the Pacers, The Hornets made the decision to bench Ball in the middle of the back.
