Breaking news: Norman Powell pushes for contract extension: ‘It suits me perfectly’

With A point guard in Powell finally earns All-Star honors for the first time, he would talk about the possibility of extending the contract with the team.
Powell will participate in the format Team World vs. Team USA NBA All-Star Gamewho was in the former team, representing Jamaica. With Powell in the final year of his current five-year, $90 million deal, he is eligible to receive a four-year, $128.5 million deal.
If he can’t come to an agreement with Miami on a contract extension by June 30, he would then become an unrestricted free agent, though Powell prefers how he wants it to play out. Powell would express how Miami was a “fits me perfectly” according to The Miami Herald.
“This is definitely where I want to be,” Powell said. “It’s just been great. Coming here, adjusting. The organization has been amazing. I love where I’m at, I love the setup, I love the mentality, I love the approach.”
“I hope there’s a good synergy from what they’ve seen that I bring to the table,” Powell continued. “And hopefully the deal can be done at some point. But yeah, I see myself being here and being a part of the Heat organization for as long as they have me.”
