Bucks game postponed, weather keeps plane grounded

There was a winter storm that made its way across the south and caused some things to stop until it was safe to do so, including basketball games. Denver Nuggets and Memphis The Grizzlies game has already been postponed because of time, and they did the same for Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks.

The Mavericks were unable to take to the air due to inclement weather and originally postponed the game to a later start. In the end, it didn’t work, and the game will now be the most likely to be moved on another date. The league is now considering when to move it, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.

“I’m told the Mavericks are staying on their team plan while the league office decides whether to try to move this soon-to-be-postponed game to Monday — which would create a back-to-back for the Bucks — or move it to the other side of the All-Star break,” Stein wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

This could be good news for the Mavericks, as they just played a game the night before against the Los Angeles Lakers. They made a valiant effort to win in the second half, but Luka Doncic was too much for it in the end, something Dallas fans are all too used to seeing.

As for the Bucks, they last played two days ago and lost a close game against the Denver Nuggets.

The Bucks could be in some trouble for the foreseeable future, like Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to miss time after an injury in the game. After the game, he shared a prediction of what he thinks the MRI might say and how long he might be out.

“After the MRI, they’ll probably tell me I put something in my calves and give me a 4-6 week protocol to come off,” Antetokounmpo said.

The Mavericks are no strangers to injuries, and Anthony Davis is currently out for the next several weeks with a hand injury. Kyrie Irving also remains sidelined as he recovers from tearing his ACL last season, and it is uncertain when he will return to the court.
