Bucks interested in Jeramie Grant … to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo?
While we wonder when Giannis Antetokounmpo va requires a transfer“insiders” assure that it seems that the Bucks are not giving the impression that they want to trade their superstar.
on the contrary according to Jake Fisher and Mark Steinmilwaukee executives are apparently giving the impression to other franchises that they are trying to stage a “coup” to convince their “greek freak” to stay in wisconsin!
The problem is that the possible “moves” are limited, especially since the Bucks have few assets in their bag.
The only solution seems to be to bet on players with big contracts, which other clubs would like to get rid of. We think of Zach LaVineand his $47.5 million salary this season, as well as his $49 million “player option” for next season, that Kings should not hold back too much…
Another option, Jerami Grant. The Blazers’ sixth man has slightly increased his rating this season, but his $66 million contract through 2027, with a $36.4 million “player option” for 2027/28, is clearly not a priority for Portland, which could force him to leave to regain flexibility.
Other options (Andrew Wiggins, Dejounte Murray, Marcus Smart, PJ Washington…) are even less realistic for the Bucks, whose room for maneuver to help Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to shrink.
