Bulls get multiple injury updates for Wizards clash

The Chicago Bulls (8-7) have been pretty inconsistent during the early part of the NBA schedule. They followed up a last-second, one-point win on the road over the Portland Trail Blazers with a home loss to the Miami Heat on Friday night. They hope to get back to winning ways on Saturday night when they host the Washington Wizards, but they have multiple injuries that head coach Billy Donovan will have to take into account as he builds his lineup.
Small forward Matas Bouzelis sat out the loss to the Heat with an ankle injury and is listed as questionable against the Wizards. He had 6 points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks in 19 minutes before his night ended.
The rest key names on the Bulls injury report include guard Kevin Huerter (questionable) with an illness, point guard Tre Jones (probable) with an ankle sprain, small forward Isaac Okoro (questionable) with a left lumbar problem and forward Patrick Williams (questionable) with a sprained left ankle.
Despite multiple injuries, the Bulls should be in position to pull off a win over the beleaguered Wizards. Washington brings a 1-14 record into this game, and the Wizards haven’t won a game since defeating the Dallas Mavericks 117-107 in the second game of the season. The Wizards have lost 13 games in a row.
Taurus star Coby White should debut at home
Kobe White should make a big difference for the Bulls as he prepares to play his third game of the season and first at home. He suffered a right calf strain that kept him out of the final two games on the road against the Utah Jazz and Trail Blazers. In those two games, he averaged 26.0 points per game.
Josh Giddei has been the Bulls’ best player so far this season. He averaged 20.6 points and 9.9 rebounds in the first 13 games. Ajo Dosunmu and Nikola Vucevic are also key for Donovan’s team, averaging 16.2 and 15.9 points respectively.
