Bulls trade talks with Pelicans for Zion Williamson, Yves Misi get the latest information

The NBA trade deadline February 5th is fast approaching. As a result, talks between them seem to be intensifying Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Pelicansspecifically, on the future of Sion Williamson.
this week, it was announced that talks include both Williamson and center Yves Mission, according to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times. Bulls CEO Arturas Karnisovas is actively involved. However, there are better chances that Chicago will get Missy instead of Williamson.
Still, the Pelicans are less likely to trade Missy, especially since the Bulls are reluctant to make any drastic changes.
“Yes, Missy has lost minutes since his rookie season, going from 26.8 per game last season to 18.6 now, but he’s still a solid rim runner with the potential to be an elite rim protector,” Covelli wrote. “In other words, the Pelicans are willing to trade him, but they won’t give him away. So making a deal would be difficult, especially since the Bulls don’t want to part with draft assets in a trade.”
Given Williamson’s vulnerability to injurythe possibility of him coming to Chicago is probably slim.
Basically, the Pelicans are trying to make up for giving up an unprotected first-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks.
Zion Williamson would theoretically have something to offer the Bulls
According to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, Williamson would be essential shopping player for the Bulls, according to Clutch Scoops. The type of player whose value is currently low due to underperformance and/or injury. But whose value could increase over time as performance improves in the new environment.
That’s especially the case with many Bulls players living out their contracts.
“I’ve heard some rumblings about Chicago scouting New Orleans in recent weeks, and Zion would be an ideal candidate to buy low for a team like the Bulls, who have a lot of expiring contracts,” Siegel said.
Kobe White, Ayo Dosunmu, Nikola Vucevic, Patrick Williams and Jaylen Smith have contracts that expire at the end of the season. Therefore, they will become unrestricted free agents.
Williamson is currently averaging 22.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
