Cade Cunningham is joining Kobe Bryant’s club
Cade Cunningham he shook himself off late injury concern against the Washington Wizards to enter Kobe Bryant territory. The Detroit Pistons The star hit a shooting total that mirrored the late NBA legend in a 137-135 victory.
Cunningham shot 45 times from the floor – joining Bryant as one of four players to kick that many tries in game according to StatMuse. He made 14 of those attempts, but culminated with an incredible 46 points.
The young Pistons star even hit a new NBA high before 8:30 in the fourth quarter.
But he also scored first in the league after ending his goalscoring spree.

Cunningham has yet to enter his prime as a young 24-year-old out of Oklahoma State. But he looked like the best overall pick the Pistons made to return in 2021.

It turns out that “The Black Mamba” isn’t the only revered NBA name Cunningham has become associated with after the epic overtime win.
With his triple double, he enters the territory of Michael Jordan.

Cunningham came into his own as a strong finisher for the Pistons. He dropped 24 of his 26 points to close out a 111-108 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.
His head coach JB Bickerstaff now says Cunningham’s big nights have become a “routine” thing in Detroit. Adding to reporters announcing the game after the win over Philly: “He’s elite when the game is on the line. There’s not a lot of people in this league who can do the things he does.”
The quarterback did it again with the game continuing. This time the goal marks the legendary Bryant and Jordan who scored once.
