Cam Thomas signs with Milwaukee after being released by the Nets

The Milwaukee Bucks they are looking for answers to the insult with Giannis Antetokounmpo was sidelined with an injuryand they tried to find that help at the trade deadline. They weren’t able to make a big move, but they did recently signed for a guard who was waived at the deadline, according to ESPN’s Shams Charani.
“Free Guardian Agent.” Cam Thomas has agreed to a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, his agent Tony Ronzon of Wasserman tells ESPN. Thomas, 24, averaged 21.4 points per game over the last three seasons with the Nets,” Charania wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
The Nets tried to trade Thomas at the deadline, but couldn’t seem to find the deal they wanted for him. That led them to waive him, and several teams were reportedly interested in signing him.
Head coach Jordi Fernandez talked about Thomas giving up by the team.
“That’s probably a question for management because my job is to coach the team on the floor,” Fernandez said. “Obviously there’s communication between the board and the coaching staff, and we’re on the same page, but I’m not going to speak for Sean (Marks). When Cam was here, he was a part of us, he wore our jersey, he played hard and he competed. The only thing I can say is thank you for all the time he spent with us… I’ve told you before that I thought he was the type of player I always wanted to work with. Now it’s exciting for him to start somewhere else. We wish him luck and thanks for wearing our jersey.
Thomas will now have a chance to continue the season with the Bucks, who needed help in the scoring department with Antetokounmpo gone. One thing Thomas has shown throughout his career is that he can put the ball in the basket.
