Camp Domantas Sabonis sends a clear signal of trade

Despite that Sacramento Kings star Russell Westbrook records a triple-doublethe team did lose to the Indiana Pacers on Monday night, losing five of their last six games. As rumors surrounded Kraljevo considering how terrible it was to start, one player who rose to prominence was a star Domantas Sabonis.

Although Sabonis has missed significant time with a partially torn meniscus in his knee, his name has been thrown around in trade speculation. However, NBA insider Sam Amick would say on FanDuel’s “Run It Back” that he has spoken with Sabonis’ camp, and there were no expectations that it will be sent within the trade deadline.

“I talked to his camp recently. It doesn’t sound like they expect to be moved at the deadline,” Amick said. “It’s more of a message of patience. And he really likes living in that area, and as far as the quality of life, it’s good.”

What does the value of Royal Domantas Sabonis look like

Doc Sabonis continues to miss time for the Kings, it is important to look at the situation surrounding the big man in terms of his contract and value. With Sabonis in the second year of his contract, he will make around $42 million this season, increasing by $3 million each over the next two seasons.

Amick would still say Sabonis has more value than others rumored to Sacramento Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan.

“Domantas is also a really big number. And he’s not just a big number. I think you’d argue that his market is better than the other two guys, but the problem. You’ve talked about Minnesota before and the way they operate, with Julius Randle, and kind of a big lead offense. That’s the kind of Domantas that’s at his best that any center in the league would be so interested in just having centers in the league, but there’s interest in any center having a lot of players around a guy like that.”

Either way, it remains to be seen what will happen with Sabonis and the rest of the Kings, as the team is currently 6-18 and next faces the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.
