Carmelo Anthony urges Sam Presti to get Giannis traded

Just a year after the infamous Luka Doncic trade, another superstar could be on the move. This time, however, it would not be a surprise. After more than a decade with the Milwaukee Bucks, there are now reports of that Giannis Antetokounmpo is questioning his future with the team. looks like Giannis’ time with the Bucks may be over.
Of course, every team in the NBA is at least thinking about a potential trade for Giannis. There are several logical candidates to trade for a star, of course. The New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors are the two teams that have a chance to acquire the Bucks star. However, one former player wants to wreak havoc: Carmelo Anthony, who wants the Thunder to trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
“If you really want to screw up the game, yes, Sam Presti.”

The real question is, would the Thunder really pull the trigger on a Giannis Antetokounmpo trade? Jake Fischer don’t think so.
“… That’s especially creditable given how unlikely Oklahoma City itself would join the trade chase for Milwaukee’s star should the Bucks actually make him available,” Fisher wrote. “How confident are we that the Thunder won’t go into the fray? Obvious counter: Why would they when this team is absolutely, positively? Swinging that big isn’t exactly Sam Presti’s habit … especially during the season.”
The Thunder have a stockpile of draft assets and players they could use to trade for Giannis if they wanted to. But as Fisher says, OKC has a good thing going for it this season. Their biggest strength has always been their depth behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. A trade for Antetokounmpo means destroying the very thing that led this team to a championship last season.
If the Bucks trade Giannis Thunder for less than a king’s ransom, maybe Sam Presti will. However, this is unlikely to happen. Presti is also not known to make big mid-season changes.
