Cedric Coward is not afraid
It is still considered one of the “steal” this 2025 draft, Cedric Coward blamed himself for missing the game-winning shot against the Thunder a few days ago. But the NBA calendar allows you to have a short memory and catch up, and last night that same coward allowed the Grizzlies to take down the Nets in “money time”.
The author of two 3-point baskets in this final “series”, Cedric Coward even finished as the best scorer of Memphis, and in the absence of Ja Morant, Tuomas Iisalo can count on the “go-to-gui” in hot moments.
“I think he will be a very good finisher in the future, because not only does he have that mindset, but also a game that allows him to create space for himself and the technical qualities to make those kinds of shots.”, explains the Grizzly coach.
Now it’s time for Europe!
The Grizzlies were trailing 98-90 when Cam Spencer started this fatal 13-0 run for the Nets with the game-winning first basket. Cedric Coward took over and there was no hesitation in his positions.
« My confidence will not waver” admonished the newcomer. “I’ve been working too hard for my confidence to waver. If that was the case, I honestly shouldn’t be playing… My role is just to be ready and take every shot like it’s a game-winning shot.”
Like his teammates, Cedric Coward will now pack his bags, heading to Europe for a doubleheader against the Magic. “It will still be more pleasant because we won. But above all, I can’t wait to be in another country, on another continent, to live all the experiences that we will be able to have” predicts the Memphis winger. “I’ll take a lot of photos, and then I’ll be able to play basketball with my ‘brothers.’
