Chandler Parsons urges the Mavericks to hire Dirk Nowitzki immediately

on tuesday, Dallas Mavericks official he ended the Nick Harrison era by firing the infamous CEO traded by Luka Dončić in February to the Los Angeles Lakers. Now that Harrison is out of the picture, the Mavericks are still deciding which path to take moving forward, given the mix of veterans and young talent still on their roster.

Recently, former NBA player Chandler Parsons took to FanDuel’s “Run It Back” show to shed some light what does he think the next moves should be for dallas.

“I think the first thing they should do is hire Dirk Nowitzki. He’s the most beloved icon in Dallas. He’s clearly separated himself from the entire franchise since hiring Nick, or moving Luke,” Parsons said. “He was all on the side of the fans and he was frustrated with the move. I think you bring in a guy like that. Not even as a GM. Dirk is not a GM. Just some kind of role, some kind of opportunity where he can be in front of the crowd. He can go to games, he can have that Dirk atmosphere where I can remember the 20th championship.”

Indeed, Nowitzki made it abundantly clear that he was not on board with the decision to trade Doncic, but instead was rooting for his former protégé during his time in the Purple and Gold.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks have a lot of decisions to make regarding Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving and some of their other veteran talent, all while trying to build a new winning culture around Cooper Flagg.

The Mavericks will next take the floor on Wednesday night at home against the Phoenix Suns.
