Charles Barkley had a funny reaction to the fans at the Wizards-Hornets game

When Charles Barclay is in the air, no one is safeespecially not fans attending an NBA game between two teams battling at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.

During Saturday night broadcasting from Inside the NBASir Charles playfully waved to the crowd attending the game in between Washington Wizards and the Charlotte Hornets.

As the league dealt with a major schedule change following the postponement of the Golden State Warriors-Minnesota Timberwolves game, Barkley found humor in the “commitment” of fans in Washington.

“If you went to this game, you had nothing to do today,” Barkley joked, drawing laughs from Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith.

In fairness to the fans at Capital One Arena, the game turned out to be more competitive than “Chuckster” expected. The The Hornets managed to pull away with a convincing victory over the Wizards with a score of 119-115.

Tre Johnson led the way for Washington, finding his rhythm to finish with 26 points and six assists. He was greatly helped by Alex Sarr, who scored 24 points and four rebounds.

On the other side, LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges led the Hornets. The star guard scored 20 points and 11 assists, and Bridges scored the same number of points with three rebounds and four assists. Brandon Miller added 21 points of his own, along with a whopping 11 rebounds.

While Barkley might think those fans have nothing better to do, at least they walked away seeing a close game and a Hornets win. Whether Chuck likes it or not, even the “basement” matches provide some Saturday night drama.
