All in all, it was just another example of the contagious joy and camaraderie that this Thunder team plays with, and has been playing for a long time.
The Thunder are now 24-1 in the 2025-26 NBA season, tied for the best start in NBA history with the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors, and are on pace to break the NBA records for net rating and single-season wins.
Of course, Oklahoma City has had a surprisingly easy schedule to this point in the season, not playing some of the better teams in the league and also getting a light slate in terms of back-to-backs thus far.
However, the team is still clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the NBA landscape at this point, and figures to get better as time goes on and younger players like Ajay Mitchell continue to get more reps.
Either way, the Thunder are now set for this weekend’s matchup in Las Vegas against the San Antonio Spurs, in what will be a preview of the Christmas Day game between the two teams a few weeks down the road.
