Chicago added another injury ahead of the Blazers game

Say it is The Chicago Bulls were on the fight bus lately would be a huge understatement, as the team is currently on a 10-game losing streak. Through it all, the Bulls have dealt with a number of injuries, and the team once again has a loaded injury report ahead of Thursday night’s clash against the Portland Trail Blazers.
For this game, Jaden Ivey it will be outside with left patellofemoral joint pain syndrome, while Anfernee Simmons will also be sidelined with a left ulnar styloid fracture. Meanwhile, backup big man Jalen Smith is listed as questionable with a right calf strain, while Patrick Williams is also questionable with a right quadriceps strain.
Zach Collins will be out of the lineup after a recent surgery.
The Bulls have gotten some injury boosts in recent weeks, with Josh Giddy coming back from a hamstring injury and getting back to his normal amount of minutes a night, but that still hasn’t done anything to stop the Bulls’ bleeding over the past ten games, which has put them well below the playoff line in the Eastern Conference.
At this point, some Bulls fans are already turning their attention to the upcoming NBA draft lottery, with many predicting the 2026 class to be one of the most talented in years. Chicago could certainly benefit from adding a blue-chip prospect to slot in alongside Giddei and Matas Bouzelis to build forward.
Meanwhile, the Bulls’ mess of scrappy players they gathered at the trade deadline produced predictably disastrous results, though that mess has been cleared up for the moment due to injuries to Simmons and Ivey.
Either way, the Bulls and Trail Blazers are scheduled to tip off at 8:00 PM ET Thursday night from the United Center in Chicago.
