Chris Finch screams at ref that ‘you fucking know you blew 2 calls’

Wednesday night, Minnesota Timberwolves fell to 17-10 in the 2025-26 NBA season with a frustrating loss to Memphis Grizzlies. Anthony Edwards misses his third straight game with a foot injury, with Ja Morant also playing for Memphis, and ultimately, Minnesota couldn’t overcome an ice-cold second-half shooting performance.
At one point late in the game, the Grizzlies went up by six points with less than thirty seconds left, and the Timberwolves understandably chose to intentionally foul to stop the clock. Officials took a long time to call a foul on Jaden McDaniels, who attempted to foul Grizzlies guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, prompting NSFW reaction from the head coach of the Timberwolves Chris Finch.

It should be noted that the game was likely out of Minnesota’s reach at the time this delayed call occurred, so it cannot be accurately identified as the reason for the loss.
Zarba showed impressive composure by not giving Finch a technical foul despite his obvious frustration.
Overall, the Timberwolves are still seven games over the .500 mark and have been able to mostly hold down the fort in Edwards’ absence, including an impressive road win over the Golden State Warriors last week.
Still, they’ll certainly be hoping Edwards can return to the lineup for Friday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, as the offense stagnated in the second half against a Grizzlies team that’s starting to show some signs of life after a rough start to the season.
Either way, the Timberwolves will next take the floor Friday night at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder. That game is expected at 9:30 PM ET.
