Chris Paul has no intention of retiring after the Clippers disaster

Now that the dust has settled a bit following The LA Clippers’ decision to part ways with Chris Paulthe following steps include how the organization will continue to delist Pauland what Paul himself plans to do amid reports that he is retiring after this season.
Whatever the Clippers ultimately decide to do with Chris Paul this season, one thing is for sure, the veteran point guard there is absolutely no intention to retire just now, as Marc J says. Spears from ESPN.
“He’s very happy for the players past and present who have come forward either on social media or behind the scenes to offer their support,” Spears said. “Does he want to retire, is he done? I was told absolutely not. He wants to play.”
“Where he goes from here, there are only 10 teams with roster spots,” Spears continued. “One GM told me, ‘I just don’t have a place for him.’ Could it be in the east, is it far from his family, I’m told Chris will cross that bridge when he gets there.
Before Paul can decide what his next option will be, the Clippers must remove him from their roster. The team has a few options as to how to proceed, but nothing that can’t be done immediately.
A buyout of Paul’s contract is an option, but not right now as the Clippers would have to sign a replacement within 14 days, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks. Due to salary cap issues, the Clippers will not be able to sign a new player until January.
As for a potential trade, the Clippers are also in a holding pattern since Paul’s contract cannot be traded until December 15th.
Paul appeared in 16 games for the Clippers with just over 14 minutes per game. He averaged 2.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 32.1 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from the 3-point line and 50 percent from the free throw line.
