Cooper Flag, Klay Thompson will play against the Pelicans

While fans are wondering about the injury status of Dallas Mavericks rookie star Cooper Flagg and a veteran Klay Thompsontheir status for Monday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans has been revealed. As it is The Mavericks’ dynamic scorer in Thompson is on the injury report recently, it seems like he and Flagg are going to be good.
As Dallas-based ClutchPoints reporter Joey Mistretta noted on the team’s media accountFlagg and Thompson will be “available” for the competition as they are listed with back and knee injuries, respectively.
“Mavs injury update on NOP,” the Mavericks’ PR account on X, formerly Twitter, posted. “Cooper Flagg (back injury) – AVAILABLE, Klay Thompson (left knee soreness) – AVAILABLE, Max Christie (illness) – OUT, Dante Ekum (right knee surgery) – OUT, Kyrie Irving (left knee surgery) – OUT. Dereck Lively – II (right foot surgery).”
Both Flagg and Thompson were questionable entering the contest, in danger of missing Monday night’s game, but both will return to the lineup, hoping to right the ship for this Mavericks team. There’s no denying that Flagg and Thompson are key to the team and are needed if the unit is to potentially win more games with Anthony Davis, especially as they await the return of star guard Kyrie Irving.
Either way, Dallas is currently 11-18, looking to turn their season around as Monday’s game against the Pelicans could be the first step in the right direction. The team won’t have much time to rest after that, as Monday’s contest is the first of the series and they play the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night.
