Cooper Flagg under pressure to be the Mavericks’ point guard

With The Mavericks have Flagg as their primary point guard on the team, which has led to huge speculation from the basketball world, there’s no denying how huge a role it is for any rookie. Flagg would be candid after the game in explaining “pressure” that comes with responsibility, according to The Dallas Morning News.
“There’s a lot of pressure and a lot of responsibility that comes with being a point guard,” Flagg said. “I don’t know if I was ready to deal with it right away. I did my best, and that doesn’t mean I can’t go back to it and work on it and get better. I think lately it’s been better to have someone else help out and take the pressure off. That doesn’t mean I can’t get it going and run it.”
In 13 games, Flagg averaged 15.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the field and 26.9 percent from the field. Dallas is 3-10 as the team faces the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
