How Alabama played against Indiana

No. 9 Alabama had optimism after defeating No. 8 Oklahoma 34-24 in the first round of the CFP. However, their hopes were dashed as No. 1 Indiana burned them from start to finish.
The game was tight as both teams remained scoreless after the first quarter. However, Indiana took over completely with a 17-0 run in the second period, while the Hoosiers kept the momentum going with a 21-3 run in the second half.
Ty Simpson and Austin Mack were unable to impact the offense as Indiana kept the quarterbacks in check throughout the game. Simpson completed 12 of 16 attempts for 67 yards, while Mack had 11 for 103 yards.
Germie Bernard led the offense with four catches for 60 yards. Ryan Williams was next with six receptions for 53 yards, while Josh Cuevas caught four passes for 35 yards.
Alabama finishes the regular season 11-4 overall, going 7-1 in SEC play. They lost the conference championship game to Georgia, but did enough to earn a CFP bid, which ends with Indiana’s loss in the quarterfinals.
