Curry shares ‘special’ moment with Harden against Clippers

The Golden State Warriors got another win to add to their great start to the season when they defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 98-79 at the Chase Center. Stephen Curry and James Harden, who joined the league as part of the 2009 NBA draft class, both started for their respective teams.
Asked what it’s like to still play with Harden, Curry gave a simple answer.
“Nostalgia for sure, but there’s still mutual respect and admiration for the fact that we’re still out there doing it,” Curry revealed after the gameaccording to tape released by the Warriors on NBC at X.
The 37-year-old revealed details about the touching moment he shared with Harden before tip-off.
“I don’t think I got to talk to him one-on-one right before the jump, but I pointed at him. I kind of said ‘we’re still doing this,’ you know, certain guys around the league fit into that category, especially me and him, Jrue, DeMar in my draft class, so it’s pretty special,” he said, also mentioning other notable members of the DeMarue09 class of DeMarue-Rozan and DeMar.
Of course, Curry has faced Harden countless times. In fact, of the 60 games they played against each other until the last match, they were tied 30-30.
Victory means Curry now led 31-30 after himself scored 19 points and eight assists on a night on 7-15 shooting. The Warriors were led by Jimmy Butler with 21 points, five assists and five rebounds, while Brandin Podziemski and Quinten Post each added 12, the first off the bench.
For the Clippers, Harden was the best scorer with 20 points and four rebounds, and Kawhi Leonard added 18 points and five rebounds. Ivica Zubac finished with a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds.
However, the Clippers suffered for their shooting accuracy as they went 36.2% from the field and just 18.3% from the three-point line.
