Dabo Sweeney is penalized after tearing the referees

Clemson loses to Duke 46-45. This caused speculation about Dabo Sweeney’s job security. Still, Sweeney had plenty to say about the referees after the loss. now, will pay a fine for their comments.

According to Nicole Auerbach of NBCSports, Sweeney will pay a $10,000 fine and has been publicly reprimanded by the ACC for his comments.

With 5:14 left in the game, Duke took over after a Clemson punt and was down 45-38. Duke drove to the Clemson 18-yard line and ran a 4th-and-10 play. On the play, Darian Mensah passed the ball to Kue’Sean Brown. Brown and a Clemson defensive back tangled, but the officials threw a flag on Clemson, giving Duke a first down. Duke scored on the next play and then hit the two-point conversion to clinch the win.
