Dak Prescott promises an ‘angry’ Dallas team after loss to Lions

The Dallas Cowboys saw their three-game winning streak snapped on Thursday after bowing out to the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, 44-30.

The Cowboys had more chances pull the rug from under the Lionsbut in the end they failed. Despite the defeat, Dak Prescott have remained focused on their goal of qualifying for the playoffs with just over a month left in the regular season. They have a 6-6-1 record.

He emphasized that although they are angry about the outcome, they are no time to roll in it.

“Guys are angry right now. I don’t think this is a blowout moment, it’s like our hands are up, (saying) we’re done. No, absolutely not. I think you’re going to get a team that’s angry. I hope that pisses people off in the right way and we use it as fuel,” Prescott said, according to The Athletic.

The 32-year-old quarterback, who NBA star Draymond Green was recently called a “burner”, went 31-of-47 for 361 yards and one touchdown. He was intercepted twice and replaced five times.

It didn’t help that CeeDee Lamb, one of Prescott’s top targets, was forced to leave the game in the third quarter with a concussion. He finished with six catches for 121 yards.

The Cowboys were able to cut the Lions’ lead to three points in the fourth quarter, but Jared Goff and company refused to fold under pressure.

“It seemed like every time we got some momentum, they made another explosive play,” Dallas coach Brian Schottenheimer said in an Associated Press report.

The Cowboys can show just how angry they are when they face the Minnesota Vikings on December 14th.
