Dallas fans in chaos after Luka Doncic’s electrifying performance
Dallas Mavericks fans are still angry that Luka Doncic was traded from their team last season. One of the reasons is that Doncic is putting up monster numbers for the Los Angeles Lakers this season.
Doncic had a great game on Friday night. The Lakers star scored 44 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Los Angeles defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 117-112.
Those numbers put Dončić very rare company.

That crazy statistic has Mavericks fans absolutely giddy.
“I’m dead inside,” the All Things Mavs account posted, responding to the post.
Mavericks fans also notice how happy Doncic is seems to be playing with the Lakers.

Doncic’s rush also has Dallas fans sorry for their current star, rookie Cooper Flagg.
“I hate this for him, but Cooper Flagg is going to have to be really good to make Mavs fans forget Luka Doncic plays basketball every night,” posted the Mavs Film Room’s X account.
The Lakers are 4-2 on the season, while the Mavericks are 2-3.
Mavericks fans are still upset about the Luka Doncic trade
Last season, Dončić was defeated in the trade with several players. Luka went to the Lakers, while the Mavericks acquired big man Anthony Davis. Trade upset Mavericks fans so much so that they protested outside the arena.
Doncic’s start this season obviously won’t do much to ease the angst. This season, he is averaging 45 points per game for the Lakers, while shooting 58 percent from the field. The Lakers star appeared in just three games this campaign.
The Lakers’ star point guard has missed time this season due to injuries. He was engaged with a toe problem and leg contusion.
“I feel great. But obviously after the victory I feel even better,” Doncic said after the Grizzlies game, NBA.com reports. “That’s the whole point.”
For now, it looks like Mavericks fans won’t be settling down anytime soon.
