Dallas finishes without first-team All-Pro selections

The Dallas Cowboys endured a disappointing season in head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s debut. The The Cowboys missed the playoffs for the second straight year, finishing second in the NFC East with a 7-9-1 record.

Dallas’ season got off to an early start as Jerry Jones decided to trade Mikay Parsons to the Green Bay Packers instead of paying the star player. The team never recovered from that move. And Cowboys fans were reminded of the mistake when The 2025 All-Pro selections have been announced on Saturday.

Parsons earned first-team All-Pro honors in his debut season with Green Bay. However, the Cowboys he had none players make the All-Pro first team, according to John Machotta of the Athletics. It is the first time in five years that the Cowboys have not had a first-team All-Pro player.

Dallas had three players make second team All-Pro selections this season. George Pickens was selected for the honor in his debut for the Cowboys. And special teams Brandon Aubrey (kicker) and KaVontae Turpin (kick returner) joined Pickens on the second team.

This is Pickens’ first All-Pro selection. Aubrey has one first-team selection and two second-team selections. And Turpin added second-team honors after making first-team All-Pro in 2024.

Pickens enjoyed a breakout season with the Cowboys after the Pittsburgh Steelers traded him to Dallas in May. The fourth-year receiver set career highs in receptions (93), yards (1,429) and touchdowns (9).

Pickens finished with the third-most receiving yards in the league. But Puka Natsua, Jakson Smith-Njigba and Ja’Marr Chase beat him out for first-team All-Pro honors.

Despite a great season with the Cowboys, Pickens received critical acclaim for his efforts after missing multiple games as Dallas struggled to make the playoffs. He enters free agency this offseason and will become one of the highest-paid players in the league, assuming the Cowboys don’t franchise tag him.

Dak Prescott bounced back from an injury-shortened 2024 campaign to finish third in the NFL with 4,552 passing yards. He was fourth with 30 passes. However, Prescott failed to make either the first or second team All-Pro. MVP leaders Matthew Stafford and Drake May were the quarterbacks selected this season.
