“I think the way the league is changing, you know, it’s kind of the transition period of the league right now,” Lillard noted. “A lot of the stars, you know, from my younger years in the league, you know, they’re starting to age and, you know, others are kind of having their last prime years. And then you start to see the younger stars come up and, you know, I think OKC is one of the teams that’s like a younger team that’s kind of taking that spot. But it’s an elite team that’s coming up among teams. And I’m an elite team. I think our team, we definitely have the talent to do it, we’ve added experience along with that talent and, you know, i think we have a chance to be in that mix, especially when we’re fully healthy, like you said.

At 26-28 in ninth place in the Western Conference, the Blazers have exceeded many expectations for the 2025-26 season, especially considering they lost their expected head coach, Chauncey Billups, before opening night.
