Darko Rajakovic admits to his eyes after the 4th defeat against Nix

There is no such thing as a rivalry between the Toronto Raptors and the New York Knicksbecause the latter always kicks the former. On Tuesday night, the Knicks ended the season sweep of the Raptors, using a great two-way effort late in the game to win 111-95 on the road.

This marked it The Raptors’ fourth loss of the season against the Knicksand none of those losses were particularly close. Toronto outscored New York by a total of 81 points this season in those games, and it became apparent that the Raptors are not in the same league as the Knicks.

The Raptors’ latest loss is yet another against a team with a top-10 record, and this is such a worrying sign and portent that they won’t be able to do much in the postseason. Still, the head coach Darko Rajaković he believes his team can get it right, although he admitted they couldn’t on Tuesday.

“When the time is right, it wasn’t tonight,” Rajaković he said in response when asked by Sportsnet’s Michael Grange when they could get another win against a top-10 team.

The Raptors looked good earlier in the season, and it helps that they were dominant against the reigning number one team in the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers. But their woes against good teams continued, and to be the best, you have to beat the best. And Toronto failed on this front.

The good news is that the Raptors are still in fifth place in the Eastern Conference and if the season ended today, they would face the Cavs in the first round of the playoffs — a team they have already eliminated three times this season.
