Darrin Peterson will play against TCU

Kansas basketball is on another troubling trajectory after posting a 10-4 record through the first two months of the 2025-26 campaign. However, it’s not fair to thoroughly judge the Jayhawks when they’ve been forced to play without their best guy for most of the season. Freshman phenom Darrin Peterson returned to action on Jan. 3 from his second extended injury, but logged just 23 minutes in a road loss at UCF. There was concern that the talented quarterback had suffered a setback. They are fans get some good news on tuesday though.
Peterson is in the starting lineup for the upcoming Big 12 matchup with TCU, according to ESPN basketball analyst Fran Fraschilla. The 18-year-old will play back-to-back games for the first time in three weeks. Kansas is a completely different team when they’re on the court, so this should make a big difference in how the Horned Frogs approach this game.
