De’Anthony Melton is already making plans with the Warriors

De'Anthony MeltonA little over a year ago, season of De’Anthony Melton rocked due to rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee. Then he played with Warriorshe even earned a starting spot next to steph curry, but eventually he will be transferred a few weeks later, to bring in Dennis Schroeder.

His story with Golden State not yet finished and, over the summer, the point guard finally resigned with the California franchise, for just under $7 million over two years. Without anger, but with ambition.

Still on the mend, De’Anthony Melton is getting closer to a return and it could happen by the end of the week. Enough to allow him to discuss areas where he can help the Warriors improve.

« I’ll try to bring everything I can, whether it’s shooting, creating, defending or playing. I think I can bring it all » he details. « Then there is only one other ball carrier on the court. (…) But I think my ability to shoot and defend is really something that any team can use. So I’m just going to bring all those things and be a smart basketball player. »

The connector the team was missing?

Highly regarded by Steve Kerr a year ago for his ability to play connectors on the court, De’Anthony Melton will support Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Gary Payton II, Will Richard, Pat Spencer and even Seth Curry in the Dubs backcourt.

An erratic collective, the Warriors are no less dangerous when things start to work and their 27-year-old maintains confidence, knowing that anything can happen quickly in this league.

« I think Steve (Kerr) said it before, but we were in a similar situation at this time a year ago and it still ended up in the conference semifinals, with a chance to go to the conference finals. » he reminds in this sense. ” It’s still just the beginning of the season. A lot can happen from now on. So we’ll just have to step up when the time comes. »
