Dejounte Murray shuts down trade request rumors

Dejounte Murray made his 2025-26 season debut on Tuesday at New Orleans Pelicans‘ 113-109 win over the Golden State Warriors. He seems committed to helping his team compete for a potential place in the play-in tournament at the end of the campaign. As such he said, while denying that he asked for a trade from New Orleans in some of the NSFW posts on X.
The social media account claims the 29-year-old guard requested a trade from the Pelicans before the deadline. Murray saw the post and claimed that it was untruedismissing the rumors completely.
“LET’S CLEAR THE AIR CAUSE OF THE J*** SOURCE,” Murray declared. “Me or my agent never asked for a replacement from NEW ORLEANS!!!! Joe and the whole organization know I was locked in to come back better than ever to help make this play in the push and whatever comes after!! It’s the fun attacks!!”
A nine-year veteran doubled his claim to play in the tournamentexplaining to one sports fan how if the Pelicans played hard in the final stretch of the regular season, they could compete for a playoff spot.
“Ugh!!! Are we a contender? No. Can we get to the top 6? No. Can we build momentum playing together and build winning habits for the rest of the season? Yes. Can we treat every game like a championship game and win, win, win? Yes. Can we get them to the bottom of the game??? Duhhhhh.”
More information will be released soon.
