Derrick Queen’s “Welcome to the NBA” moment thanks to Joel Embiid

New Orleans Pelicans newcomer Derrick Queen is one of the pleasant surprises of this season with his impressive multi-color game. After a slow start, he learned to adjust and become a consistent player for the Pelicans.
Quinn was named as one of the Rising Stars at All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. It’s a great achievement for the 21-year-old center, as the NBA recognized his hard work and talent.
While the queen definitely stood her ground against the veterans, he admitted that his welcome moments to the NBA were against two established great men.
“They cooked me twice. Embiid and AD (Anthony Davis),” Queen said in a video posted by Yahoo! Sports.
