Devin Booker calls out ‘lie’ after LeBron James’ key foul

PHOENIX – One foul; that’s what decided it Competition between Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. After Devin Booker subsequently fouled LeBron Jameshe begged for an explanation.
He got an explanation from the authorities, but he he didn’t call their bluff.
“They looked at it. They’re still looking at it. I’m still trying to make the right decision about it. … (The referee) said I hit (Bron’s) wrist, which was a lie. I looked again,” Booker said in the team’s locker room after the game.
Booker is a pretty honest person, but he didn’t let the official’s call dictate why they lost. He mentioned that he was outmatched and that he lost the game in possession of the ball. That doesn’t make things any easier, though.
Not to mention, it was pool report conducted by AZCentral’s Duane Rankin after the game. His questions about the offense were answered almost as well as Booker’s.
The latter was left with confusion and considerable irritability.
Devin Booker and the Suns felt tormented by the free throw differential
The guard wasn’t the only one left frustrated by the foul. It was also head coach Jordan Ott. He repeated something similar to Booker and stated that he found out when everyone in the arena did.
Regardless, they almost came back from an 18-point deficit. They pulled back, but it felt like there was every chance to build momentum, a foul was quickly called.
Even a missed technical free throw by James showed some evidence regarding the constant whistling. It wasn’t the driving force behind the loss though, but at that stage of the game it was.
The Suns have about a week to avenge their loss to the Lakers, as the two meet again on December 23rd. By then, violations could be a thing of the past. If that officiating crew remains active, it could be an all too familiar and bad sight for Phoenix.
