Devin Booker can’t escape ‘UNC’ label for All-Star Weekend from Chet Holmgren, Tyrese Maxey
After Phoenix Suns All-Star Devin Booker was surprised to reveal a 3-pointer Heading into last weekend, he couldn’t escape the OG tag from the first Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Chet Holmgrenamong others. In the end, Team USA Stars, including Chet Holmgren and Tirese McKay, defeated Team USA Stripes. However, it was most likely one of the first times that Booker was the oldest player on his team.
Devin Booker hints at retreating from the 3-point contest
Suns All-Star Devin Booker fell three points short of the win this year’s 3-point contest, losing in the final round after missing his final three shots that would have crowned him the champion. The Blazers’ Damian Lillard won with a final score of 29 to Booker’s 27, despite having the most points in the final round (30).
After losing by two points, Booker talked about the 2026 3-point contest potentially being will eventually participatehe said, according to AZ Central’s Duane Rankin.
“This hurt a little bit. I wanted this bad. I wish I had defended it in Phoenix, but it’ll probably be the last time I do it next year if I get the call. I’m looking forward to it,” Booker said, per Duane Rankin of AZ Central on X, formerly Twitter.
Lillard, who didn’t play a single game because of a ruptured Achilles injury, brought the trophy back to Portland.
