Devin Booker has a hilarious reaction to a fan telling him to join LA

The allure of Los Angeles never fades, but the Phoenix Suns superstar guard Devin Booker not interested in joined the Los Angeles Lakers β€” for now.

That’s what you get after seeing the entertaining interaction between Booker and an apparent Lakers fan, who told the former Kentucky Wildcats star to come join the Purple & Gold.

“Book, you might as well come to LakeShow, man!” a fan can be heard on the tape telling Booker who he laughed at the encounter before he leaves.

Most fans would love to have someone like Booker play on their team. It’s easy to understand why a Lakers fan would take a shot at Booker, even though there’s virtually no way he’ll have any bearing on any future career decisions the five-time NBA All-Star makes.

Booker is also still under contract with the Suns until the end of the 2028/29 NBA season. He signed a two-year, $133.25 max contract with Phoenix in 2025 that came with a player option worth $69.191 million for the 2029-30 campaign.

In other words, unless the Suns make a shocking trade of Booker to the Lakers, the only other way Lakers fans will want to see him in Los Angeles colors is if the guard decides not to pick up that player option and signs with LA in the summer of 2029. If he signs that option, Booker will be on the market for 2029.

Booker entered the All-Star break with season averages of 25.2 points, 6.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 45.5 percent from the field.
