Did Adam Pierce just tease Chris Jericho’s return to Brooklyn RAW?

After months of speculation, AEV’s first world champion, Chris Jericho, it can be on the way back to VVEas decoded by hints suggested by Monday Night RAV’s general manager, Adam Pearce.

A few hours before the upcoming episode of RAV in Brooklyn, New York, on January 5, 2026, Pierce posted a video on social media, fan update about composition of the show and ticket. However, in doing so, Pierce dropped a major tease regarding Jericho. In the video, Adam Pearce slid into line while cheering for tonight’s three scheduled championship matches, which fans immediately linked to Jericho’s potential WWE return.

“Don’t forget, (there are) three huge championship matches. Who can break down the walls and win the gold?”

The phrase “break down walls” is a line from Jericho’s WWE opening theme and a major part of his gimmick during his time in the promotion. Later, Dave Meltzer, in his daily update of the Wrestling Observer, noted that it was the pun was intended.

“They’re definitely pushing for a big action as Adam Pearce has talked about intentionally tearing down walls, which is fueling the idea that Chris Jericho is coming back. We don’t have that confirmed, but many believe it will be the case, if not tomorrow, by the end of the month.”

Tonight’s RAV will also mark VVE’s first anniversary since moving to Netflix in 2025. RAV is also scheduled to air on January 5, 2026. to be a Stranger Things collaboration.

Jericho was last seen in AEV last year during the ROH World Title match against the Bandidos. However, after losing the title, Jericho went on hiatus. Last year, while talking about Torg and Eliot, Tony Kahn discussed star status in AEV.

“Chris Jericho has been here since the beginning. I have a lot of respect for Chris Jericho. I would love to have Chris in AEV anytime. We absolutely want Chris Jericho back in AEV, and hopefully soon. He’s been great with us and has been with us since the first event,” Khan noted. “(He was) the first AEV World Champion and Chris is a big part of AEV history and he’s still in great shape and he’s still a great wrestler.”

While Jericho’s WWE return remains a rumor, fans will have to wait for tonight’s RAW to get confirmation.
