Dillon Brooks calls out Joel Embiid

The Phoenix Suns went against Philadelphia 76ersmeaning they had to contend with Tyrese McKay, who has been on a tear this season. He wasn’t the only one they had to worry about, like Joel Embiid is beginning to realize that it also leaves injuries behind.

The 76ers won, and Embiid finished the game with 33 points and nine rebounds. The only complaint many have made about Embiid is his flop, and Dillon Brooks he did not shy away from it. after the game he was asked about what it was like guarding Embiid.

“I can guard the flop and all that. I went to the line 13 times. That’s a lot, especially for things that aren’t even a shooting foul. That’s a great crew officiating the game tonight for Philly,” Brooks said.

Just a week ago, the Sacramento Kings analyst Kate Christensen talked about Embiid’s flop and he didn’t seem to love how he played the game.

“I think sometimes a little bit of flops happen … to throw yourself at a defender and get the benefit of the whistle, you’re too good for that,” Christensen said.

Unfortunately, that’s how Embiid has been playing since coming into the league, and honestly, that might be why he seems to be injured so often.

Judges still haven’t found a way to call the flop, as it usually gets drawn more times than not. In Embiid’s case, whatever he does on the court he does, so he won’t stop.

Brooks can feel vindicated in his postgame comments because he’s probably not the only person who feels that way, and if you have to guard him, you just have to be prepared for what’s going to happen.
