Dillon Brooks drew a flagrant foul after a dirty move on the Nets’ Nick Claxton
Dillon Brooks has made a name for himself in the last half decade by being one of the most prominent performers in the association. Love him or hate him, he will impact his team in one way or another. That’s why it is Phoenix Suns have fallen in love with Brooks and his contributions, taking the occasional bad that comes with the many good things he brings to the table.
His actions on Tuesday night during the Suns’ contest against the Brooklyn Nets put Brooks’ experience on full display. He took advantage of the opportunity to be the Suns’ main man on offense amid injuries to Devin Booker and Jaylen Green, but he was also guilty of too much offense. Fighting for a loose ball against Nets big man Nick Clacton, Brooks was extremely aggressive and ended up hitting Clacton in the midsection right into the jewels.
The officials then whistled Brooks for a flagrant foul. But the Suns forward wasn’t done there. In a game not long after being called for a flagrant, he tangled with Nets guard Yegor Demin. Frustrated with the officials for the lack of whistles, he directed his anger at the referee, who wasted no time calling a technical foul on him — his 15th of the season.

The Suns embrace Dillon Brooks for who he is

It’s important for someone like Brooks to be appreciated for the player he is, and he’s certainly found a home in the Valley with the Suns. He is so beloved in his current franchise Governor Mat Ishbia went so far as to say that it is not available for trade—perhaps ever.
Brooks also found a sense of belonging with the Houston Rockets, but still gave in to bring in Kevin Durant. This is a stark contrast to the treatment he received toward the end of his tenure with the Memphis Grizzlies, when he was blamed as a scapegoat for the team’s demise.
