Dillon Brooks never looks down on LeBron James

During this duel against the Lakers, Dillon Brooks shone, from the top of his 33 points, but also had several exchanges with LeBron James. It all started at the end of the second quarter when the former Rockets player drove past the Los Angeles winger and dunked on a counterattack. After this action, he looks at the four-time NBA champion and imitates his “shrug”, his famous celebration where he rolls his shoulders.
It doesn’t stop here because in the third quarter, as JJ Redick takes a timeout, LeBron James continues to talk to Dillon Brooks and the Suns bench.
“I’m a competitor,” Dillon Brooks recalled after the meeting. “I don’t like laughs and smiles. I wanted him to understand that I was there. LeBron likes people who bow to him. I don’t bow to anybody.”

Finally, this exchange with the Phoenix bench is perhaps the most notable action of LeBron James in this match, which ended with only 10 points. His streak of 1,296 consecutive games with at least 10 points ended at one point. A streak the Akron native has held since January 5, 2007.
For good memories of 2023
Never the last to provoke, or even a clown, Dillon Brooks went out to have fun Luka Dončić by high-fiving him after the Slovenian shot a free throw. A gesture that did not fail to amuse the former Dallas player.
All these escapades of Dillon Brooks certainly reflect his strong desire to beat the Lakers, the team against lost during the 2023 playoffs while playing in Memphis. A series in which LeBron James shined with averages of 22 points and 11 rebounds, including a game-high 28 points in Game 2 and a Game 4 where the King grabbed 20 rebounds.
That’s when I decided to take the game seriously, to work on it to be in places where people want me and where I can improve. explains the Phoenix player. “This is just the beginning.”
