Dillon Brooks talks ‘amazing’ Rockets video
Dillon Brooks is clearly a culture-setter, and he’s doing so in his first season with Phoenix Suns. However, when Brooks talked about playing with the Houston Rockets November, he wanted it to be a moment to remember.
Entering the Toyota Center, fans were excited to see the “villain” back on the field. Even if he was in purple and orange instead of the Rockets’ red, everyone remembers his impact.
Embracing young guys like Alperen Sengun and Jalen Green was key to Houston’s immediate rise. Even though Brooks was shipped off for Kevin Durant in an emergency offseason trade, both sides seem to be winning.
Guardian of the Phoenix, though opened up about his return and a video surprise.
“Unbelievable, I didn’t expect that,” Brooks said via AZCentral’s Duane Rankin on X (formerly Twitter). “I’ve only been here two years. I’ve left my mark.”
Dillon Brooks left his mark on the Rockets and Suns

Brooks’ words should not be exaggerated. He is a culture setter and has been since he entered the NBA. He’s been with three teams (Memphis, Houston and now Phoenix), and they’ve had immediate turnarounds.
It can be said that his actions speak louder than words. Despite many injuries, Brooks has become one of the Suns’ best offensive options.
He’s averaging a career high in points, all while playing alongside Devin Booker. His confidence is through the roof, and it rubs off on his teammates.
While Brooks may fear his influence, a tribute video in just two seasons it speaks volumes with the organization. Either way, the first-year Phoenix guard isn’t happy with the outcome.
The team will not return to Houston at any other time in the 2025-26 season. Brooks might enjoy the moment, but he will be focused when the Suns take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
