Dillon Brooks was ejected from the Lakers game after a tech



Maybe it was only a matter of time until Dillon Brooks was kicked out on Sunday, as Phoenix Suns he hosted Los Angeles Lakers at the Mortgage Matchup Center.

Brooks received a technical foul just minutes into the first quarter and then he had a fight with lebron james in the third frame. With just 12.2 seconds left in the final period, Brooks received another technical foul, leading to his expulsionas shown in a video posted by Hayden Cilley of ClutchPoints.

Brooks was back in front after hitting James after a 3-pointer in the first, giving the Suns a 114-113 lead. Brooks felt he was fouled, but there was no whistle.

Brooks exited the game with 18 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter. He shot 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

The Lakers won, 116-114, to improve to 18-7, including 11-3 on the road. The Suns fell to 14-12, including 8-5 at home.

Devin Booker had 27 points, six rebounds and seven assists in his return from a groin injury.

James missed a technical free throw after Brooks was fouled. He made up for it, however, by sinking two of three free points after being fouled by Devin Booker on a three-point attempt and blocking Grayson Allen’s floater on the ensuing possession.

James warmed up in his earlier bout with Brookswho appeared to hit the ball toward the four-time MVP after being fouled. James grabbed and pushed the referee as his teammates held him back. He was called for a technical foul.

James finished with 26 points, three rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks. He also had eight turnovers.
