DK Metcalf shares hilarious post after suspension ends



Pittsburgh Steelers star DK Metcalf has remained largely mum about her two-game suspension following his controversial interaction with a Detroit Lions fan in week 16

It’s safe to assume his legal team advised him to keep his mouth shut, especially since fan Ryan Kennedy is seeking a civil lawsuit.

But Metcalf, 28, couldn’t help but poke fun at himself after his two-game suspension ended. In his Instagram Story, he posted a meme from a popular sketch by comedian Drusky, in which he kept shouting “I’m free!” upon release from prison.

Metcalf tried to appeal his sanction, but the NFL upheld it. He lost wages during his two-game suspension.

The Kennedy incident happened in the second quarter. Metcalf was caught on camera physically confronting Kennedy, clutching his shirt and seemingly trying to hit him. The umpires did not penalize Metcalf, but the league subsequently reviewed the tape.

While the two-time Pro Bowler makes light of the situation, the Steelers don’t need any distractions up front wild card clash against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday.

Metcalf, who had 850 yards and six touchdowns in the regular season, will certainly give the Steelers a boost in his return. He must, however, keep his head in the game amid Kennedy’s possible civil suit.

Sharing the hilarious post could be a good sign, as it showed that Metcalf doesn’t care too much about the issue. He needs to get serious nevertheless once step onto the field.
