Doc Rivers makes a do-or-die statement after getting smoked by the Thunder

Head coach Doc Rivers and the Milwaukee Bucks they never led in their 122-102 loss Oklahoma City Thunder. Some believe in the Bucks All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo was passive against the Thunder. No All-Star Jaylen Williams or starting center Isaiah Hartenstein, who felt like he would have set the stage for a big night for Antetokounmpo, who finished with 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting, 14 rebounds and seven assists.

After the game, Doc Rivers looked ahead to the Bucks’ current three-game homestand, which continues against the Nuggets on Friday.

“We’re not hot right now. There’s no question about that. You can see it in our spirit,” Rivers said. “When you get jumped the way we’ve been jumped the last three or four games, that’s something you don’t want. That’s something we haven’t had all year, but it’s there. We played great the first two and a half quarters in the Atlanta game. Then we went back to what we were doing wrong.

“These next few games are big for us. Any games we can win, all at home. Let’s rest, I think we’ll find out what we have in these four or five games. That’s big for us.”

AJ Green added 15 points. Bobby Portis led the Bucks bench with 15 points, nine assists and six rebounds. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 40 points on 16 of 19 shooting, 11 assists, seven rebounds and one steal to lead the Thunder to victory.

All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo expressed his frustration to his Bucks teammates after a 20-point loss to the Thunder on Wednesday. For Antetokounmpo, his Bucks teammates they don’t put in enough effortand they play only for themselves.

“We don’t play hard … We don’t play to win,” Antetokounmpo he told reporters. “We’re not playing together. Our chemistry isn’t there. Guys are selfish. Guys are trying to look for their own shots instead of looking for the right shot for the team. Guys are trying to do it themselves.”

“Sometimes I feel like when we’re down 10, 15, 20, we’re trying to make it up in one play and it’s not going to work. We’ve just got to keep sharing possession after possession.”

The Bucks will host the Nuggets and Mavericks on Friday and Sunday at Fiserv Forum.
