Doubt over Giannis Antetokounmpo led to Kristaps Porzingis

The Golden State Warriors they found their All-Star hitter, but he didn’t Giannis Antetokounmpo. The warriors gained Kristaps Porzingis via trade with the Atlanta Hawks, sending Jonathan Cumminga and Buddy Hield in return.
The Warriors were rumored to be trading for Antetokounmpo, who recently expressed his willingness to transfer from the Milwaukee Bucks. Some argued that Golden State would send a package containing Kuminga and Draymond Green in exchange for the two-time MVP.
But now that they’ve added Porzingis, ESPN’s Shems Charania reported that the Warriors stopped going for Antetokounmpo.
“The Warriors’ pursuit of Giannis after a week is over. They’ve moved on. The Warriors made a big offer last week and continued to talk to the Bucks. But in the last 24 hours, they’ve come to believe the Bucks won’t move their two-time MVP at the trade deadline,” Charania said.
“We’ll see if that’s true in the next 24 hours.”

While Porzingis isn’t on Antetokounmpo’s level, he still has the talent to anchor the Warriors’ front line. If he can stay healthy, he will be a two-way force for Golden State.
Porzingis, 30, is slated to return from a 13-game absence with Achilles tendonitis.
Antetokounmpo, 31, who led the Bucks to a championship in 2021, has said he wants to retire in Milwaukee. However, he also said he has to make a change if he’s not on the same page as the team’s vision.
