Draymond Green agrees with Charles Oakley that he will be hit in the 90s era

Golden State Warriors a veteran Draymond Green answered in the Hall of Fame forward Charles OakleyA look at how vibrant the NBA era was in the 90s and how things would have been different for the four-time champion. Physicality was at a much higher level then. After Green addressed Stephen Curry’s new shoe brandhe turned his attention to Oakley’s attitude.

Green agrees with Oakley’s opinion that Draymond will be hit if he played during the 90she said, according to The Draymond Green Show.

“I have the utmost respect for Uncle Oak. There would be no defamation here. As far as talking trash and punching in the mouth, I can agree with that,” Green said. “I’d probably get punched in the mouth. Because, quite frankly, Uncle Oak, I’m from Saginaw, Michigan. I’ve been punched in the mouth before. Nose and all.”

For Green, a punch in the face won’t calm him down.

“Uncle Oak, I’ve been punched in the mouth before. I’ve been punched in the nose before. So when I talk the way I talk, a punch in the mouth won’t stop me from talking,” Green said. “But the story also doesn’t end like, ‘Oh, Draymond got punched in the mouth, boom story.’ The story doesn’t end like that. You’re going to have to punch me in the mouth every time you see me.

“Because if you punch me in the mouth, I’m going to fight you every time I see you. Either they fight me or I win,” Green concluded.

Green and the The Warriors bounced back from a 126-102 loss in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 125-120 win against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.

Hall of Fame forward Charles Oakley doesn’t believe Warriors veteran Draymond Green would babble nearly as much as the ’90s player, which is the only part of Oakley’s take Green disagrees with.

“No, no, no, no,” Oakley said when asked if Green would still be talking trash if he played in the 90s. “He would be just like Barkley if somebody punched him in the mouth. No, it wouldn’t work. I mean, he already knows it wouldn’t work. I give him credit for what he’s doing now, it worked. It wouldn’t have worked then.”

Green and the Warriors will meet the Spurs in the rematch on Friday.
