Draymond Green defends Jonathan Cummings despite looming trade exit

“He (Brandin Podziemski) says, ‘Man, why did you throw me out? I just got into the game.’ And JK says, ‘Oh, don’t worry about it. Everything is good.’ And he said, ‘Damn, I can’t believe they just took me out.’ And JK says, ‘Just adapt to it, you’ll be back. Just adapt to it, stay ready, you’ll be good.’
“To sit and listen to a 22-year-old, 23-year-old, however many there are, to sit there and talk to another 21, 22-year-old from the sidelines,” Green said. “And one guy doesn’t play, like, see the floor. Another guy his age or a little younger plays, and he’s talking from the sidelines, nobody’s going to highlight that story. But I just want to talk about the person of Jonathan Cummings.”
If Kuminga is in his final season with the Warriors, Green wishes him the best in the next chapter of his career.
“If Jonathan Cuminga is moved, whoever gets Jonathan Cuminga, that’s the guy you’re going to get,” Green added. “And if you could be like that at 22, 23, the sky’s the limit for you.”
